Kathy has been an active member of Kadima since 1999 and began working as the Office Manager in 2001. Her son is Kadima Bar Mitzvah, and husband is the Music Director in the Sunday School. Evidence of Kathy’s hard work is everywhere in Kadima and you can often see her at Kafe Kadima on Sundays and at many Kadima events. Kathy makes sure that all Kadima members are in touch and involved with our community.
Sharron Lerner – Education Director

Sharron Lerner was hired as the Education Director of the Kadima School, beginning with the 2004-05 school year. Sharron has been a Hebrew teacher at Kadima since 1994, and is the Lead Teacher of Kadima’s “Hebrew Program”/education/hebrew-school. Sharron is also the Creator/Director of Kadima’s “Summer Hebrew Camp”/education/summer-camps: teaching Hebrew in a park setting through games, crafts, drama, songs, and play.
Sharron is a recipient of the Samis Excellence in Education Teaching Award. Sharron is a graduate of the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS) in Arad, Israel, she holds a degree in Jewish Studies from the University of Washington, and a Masters in Education with Washington state K-8 teaching certification from Antioch University in Seattle.
I earned my teaching certification with the intention of moving from supplementary Judaic education into full-time public education… and then I realized what I would be missing by making that move. I don’t just love being a teacher, I love being a Hebrew School teacher.
Being the Education Director for Kadima allows me to bring together my love of teaching with my love for Jewish education, for a community I call ‘home.’
